Rough spot, glad you’re sharing and starting to tell Shiela to shove it! I am in my mid-forties now and I already can look at a picture of myself from twenty years ago and think, “My god, I was so young—why was I so mean to that handsome young thing?” If not now, someday you’ll forgive yourself for listening to that negative voice. ❤️❤️

Thanks, Gillian! 🙂

I hope I’ll be able to do that sooner rather than later. I see so many people who are way older than me who say ‘I don’t care what other people think of me’ and they’re happier for it. I’d rather be that now and not look back and wonder why I didn’t do it sooner.

It’s strange, I don’t know why you’re so hard on yourself when you’re young… you shouldn’t give a rats arse and be carefree!

Thank you for reading ☺️

It takes practice, for sure. But that feeling of self-assurance comes from knowing you don’t know everything, you’re probably going to make a thousand mistakes today and live to tell the tale, and that everyone else is too busy worrying about what you think of them to give a monkey’s about thinking anything about you!

Turns out your brain isn’t really your friend…but if you never doubt yourself, certainty means nothing!
